2 DAYS 1 NIGHT ADVENTURE IN HA GIANG
Detailed Itinerary
Departing from Ha Giang at 6 AM: destinations from Ha Giang City
Check-in at km0 Ha Giang: A location with a special geographical position and significant historical marks.
Stop to enjoy the view at Pac Sum Slope: This winding pass curves gracefully like the linen fabric that the local ethnic people still diligently weave by hand.
Quan Ba Heaven Gate: This location is considered the gateway of the Dong Van Karst Plateau, situated at an altitude of over 1,100 meters above sea level.
Quan Ba Rest Stop: A stop featuring various materials introducing local scenic spots and documents evidencing the geological transformations of the Karst Plateau. Here, there is an observatory offering a panoramic view of Tam Son Quan Ba town and the Twin Fairy Mountains.
Tham Ma Slope: Legend has it that before the Happiness Road was built, this was a treacherous and steep pass, often compared to a “thread.” The road was so narrow that even horses would be out of breath climbing it. Locals would often bring their strongest horses to carry corn and wood. If a horse could haul heavy loads up this pass, it would be selected as a breeding horse and receive special care from its owner.
Lung Cam Cultural Village: This village was chosen as the setting for famous television series such as The Story of Pao and Quiet in the Deep Valley. The group will visit Pao’s house and take seasonal flower photos in what is considered the most beautiful space in the Karst Plateau.
The Vuong Family Mansion: Also known as the “Hmong King’s House,” during the Vietnam War, this place supplied a large amount of opium to Indochina and the countries involved in the war in Vietnam. Here, the group will learn about the architecture, history, and culture of the Vuong family (the Hmong Kings) in particular and the Hmong people of the Karst Plateau in general.
Lung Cu Flagpole: The final destination of the day is Lung Cu Flagpole – the northernmost point of the country, a place everyone wishes to visit at least once in their lifetime. The group will learn about the cultural history of the land where people live on stone, the construction process of the flagpole, and the efforts of the ethnic minority people in protecting every inch of the northern border.
Check-in at HomeStay in Dong Van Town: A homestay with unique architectural houses.
Departing from Dong Van town at 7 AM.
Destinations:
Dong Van Market: The group will take a stroll through the Dong Van Ancient Town, which is hundreds of years old.
Ma Pi Leng Pass: Ma Pi Leng Pass, known as the “first majestic landscape of Vietnam,” is also the most beautiful and awe-inspiring among the “Four Great Passes of Northern Vietnam.” The pass stretches 21 km, connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac districts.
Cruise on Tu San Canyon – Nho Que River: The group will board a boat and cruise through Tu San Canyon – Nho Que River. The Nho Que River flows into Vietnam from Seo Lung village, Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, passing through Tu San Canyon and along the Ma Pi Leng Pass. Upon reaching Meo Vac, it flows eastward into Cao Bang province and then merges with the Gam River. Tu San Canyon is considered the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia and lies in a valley with unique geological formations in Vietnam.
